Player Welfare & Child Protection

We’re more than a team — we’re a rugby family. And in every family, safety comes first.

A Safe and Supportive Rugby Environment for All

At Lanark Highlanders RFC, the safety and well-being of our players — especially children and youth — is our highest priority. We’re committed to creating an environment where every player feels welcomed, protected, and respected.

This commitment aligns with the standards set by Rugby Ontario and the Ontario Provincial Government, including the Child and Family Services Act.

Meet Our Child Protection Officer

Courtney LaBelle has been appointed as the Club’s Child Protection Officer (CPO). Courtney works closely with coaches, volunteers, and parents to:

  • Ensure the club complies with Rugby Ontario’s child protection policies

  • Monitor safety and risk procedures across all age groups

  • Provide support and guidance to any member with concerns

If you have questions or need support, you can reach Courtney directly at [email protected]
